Beginners and visitors are always welcome. You can watch class whenever you wish.

When you're looking for a dojo, we think you should always visit at least three different schools to make sure that you like the teacher, the other students, the location, etc. Every dojo has a slightly different attitude or focus—a vibe if you will—and you should find the dojo that's right for you.

You can try your first class for free. Here's how:

  1. No uniform required; just wear a long sleeve tee shirt and sweat pants or similar.
  2. Be sure to show up a few minutes early so you can get oriented.
  3. Download, print, and complete the required Student Registration/Liability Release Form; bring this with you to your first class (we also have copies at the dojo that you can fill out.
  4. Children must be accompanied by a parent; no child under 18 who arrives without a parent or legal guardian may try a class.

BEGINNERS — First 3 Months, Uniform Included

Covers three months initial registration, includes training three days a week and a uniform. The beginners special is available for new students only.

ONGOING — Monthly training 3 days/week

After you have completed your initial three months of training, you can continue as long as you like on a month-to-month basis. There are no long-term contracts or obligations at Aikido Decatur. Includes training three days per week.

PARENTS

Parents can train in classes with their children for $50/month. A parent's initial sign-up is $195 for three months and includes a uniform. Parents may not train in children's classes where their child is not present. Parents can also train in the adult classes in addition to the children's classes by becoming a full member of the dojo at $80/month.

AutoPay System

All students enroll in the dojo's AutoPay system where dues are automatically charged to your card on the first of the month.

The "Fine Print"

Before stepping on the mat, all prospective students (or, for children under 18, their parent or legal guardian) must fill out and sign a Student Registration/Liability Release Form. These are available at the dojo, or you may print out a copy from this website and bring it with you.

There are no charges for promotions and testing. The dojo sells color belts for $5.

The dojo sells additional or replacement children's uniforms for $45 and adults' uniforms for $55.

Mat fee for visitors who are members of another dojo: $15 cash only.

We accept member dues by VISA, MC, DISC, and AMEX.
