VISITORS and FIRST-TIMERS — FREE

Beginners and visitors are always welcome. You can watch class whenever you wish.

When you're looking for a dojo, we think you should always visit at least three different schools to make sure that you like the teacher, the other students, the location, etc. Every dojo has a slightly different attitude or focus—a vibe if you will—and you should find the dojo that's right for you.

You can try your first class for free. No uniform required; just wear a long sleeve tee shirt and sweat pants or similar. Be sure to show up a few minutes early so you can complete the required paperwork.

BEGINNERS — $180 For 3 Months, Uniform Included

$180 for three months initial registration, includes training two days a week, the $25 annual registration fee and a uniform at no additional charge.

For new students only.

ONGOING — $60/Month, for training 2 days/week

After you have completed your initial three months of training, you can continue as long as you like on a month-to-month basis. There are no long-term contracts or obligations at Aikido Decatur.

PARENTS — $30/Month

Parents can train in classes with their children for half price: $30/month. A parent's initial sign-up is $90 for three months, plus $45 for a uniform. Parents may not train in children's classes where their child is not present. Parents can also train in the adult classes in addition to the children's classes by becoming a full member of the dojo at $60/month.

AutoPay System

All students enroll in the dojo's AutoPay system where dues are automatically charged to your card on the 1st of the month.

The "Fine Print"

Before stepping on the mat, all prospective students (or, for children under 18, their parent or legal guardian) must fill out and sign a Student Registration/Liability Release Form. These are available at the dojo, or you may print out a copy from this website and bring it with you.

Once a year, on the anniversary of your start date, you will be charged an annual registration fee of $25 that covers membership in our larger organization, the California Aikido Association.

There are no charges for promotions and testing. The dojo sells color belts for $6.

The dojo sells additional or replacement children's uniforms for $35 and adults' uniforms for $45.

Additional family members train at discounted rates: $60 for the first member of a family, and $50 for each additional, with a $200 family maximum.

Mat fee for visitors who are members of another dojo: $15
